Registration is open for new and returning students for our Showtime! summer program.

If you are already a registered chorus member, you do not need to sign up for this as you are already enrolled for this program year – just continue on in June and you will be automatically enrolled in the summer classes.

SB Children’s Chorus performs with African Children’s Choir at UCSB

SBCC goes to Year-Round schedule

The SB Children’s Chorus announced today that it will continue to deliver music classes year-round starting this summer. The Chorus moved to a monthly format in September 2012 with the introduction of the new Vocal Explorations program and has seen growth in all programs as a result of the new month-to-month format.

With that in mind, the decision was made to start a new Summer session in June and continue classes all year round.

Spring Classes Begin January 7th!

Our Spring classes – Concert Chorus, Vocal Explorations and Chorus Plus - start January 7th in Santa Barbara and January 11th in Carpinteria. Spring programs run January through June 2013. No audition or experience required. Programs are open to all chidren ages 5-14.

Winter Concert Chorus Performance Announced!

Join us on Friday, December 14th at 7pm for our annual Winter Performance. The Concert Chorus with special guests from the Vocal Explorations and Chorus Plus classes, will be performing a variety of holiday and winter pieces that are sure to delight.

The performance will be held at the Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara, 1535 Santa Barbara Street.

2012/2013 Program Starts in SB and Carp

We started our sessions last week with a bang starting off two new programs with Vocal Exploarations 6-7 year old classes starting in both Carpinteria and Santa Barbara. There is room in both these classes still if you are interested.

Additionally, we have a good mix of returning and new students in our main SB Chorus location at 1535 Santa Barbara St (Mondays 4-6 pm) and a new chorus group forming in Carpinteria (Fridays 4-6pm).

There is room in all programs for more students, so feel free to register at any time by filling out our registration form.

Or, stop on by either one of our classes for a free class to try it out before you commit.

Registration is now open for the 2012/2013 season which starts September 10th. There are a number of exciting new programs including:

- New Carpinteria Chorus classes

- New Vocal Explorations program for 6-7 year olds

- New Chorus Plus+ program for more intensive vocal training in addition to the regular Concert Chorus program

SING after-school program a big hit!

In May we piloted a new afterschool collaboration with the SB Parks and Recreation department who worked with us to roll out our virtual teacher program SING! to the six A-OK schools. Over 500 students were trained by A-OK coordinators with the help of “Miss B” (aka Erin Bonski Evans) via video training lessons.
